Referee Information

This page is dedicated to the Officials of the game to help you with problems or questions.

Feel free to contact Larri McClintock if you have any questions at larri.mcclintock@comcast.net.

Field Closures:

We will update this information as soon as it is reported to the League.  We can only post what we have been told by the clubs. Please
check the Club website for the fields you are assigned, if you are in doubt of field status.

Game Day Protocol:

Please continue to perform the standard pre-game field check of the goals and field.

1)  Both Team Managers must provide the referee with a GiRLS League GAME LINE UP CARD with a roster of eligible/verified Players
listed for the specific game for BOTH Teams. AS A LEAGUE WE DO NOT ALLOW HAND-WRITTEN PLAYER  INFORMATION
     ADDED TO THE GAME CARD.

The GiRLS league requires that the referee inspect the lineup card and if a team had altered
the line up card, the referee is required to
report this on  the referee’s on-line game report.

The referee must notify the coach that
the referee’s game report will reflect an alteration to the lineup card and sanctions may be taken against them
 Referees should not
debate the matter further and begin the game.
Always keep the GiRLS LEAGUE GAME LINE UP CARD for reference in case any issues
arise.  If you have any questions please feel free to contact the GiRLS League President, Larri McClintock at 317-409-7656.

2)  If a Team shows up without a League Game Card, please refer to the opposing team's game card when checking-in both teams.  If
you have to refer to player passes to check eligibility, please acknowledge the Team and age group listed on the player's pass and
verify that they are the same as the team playing the game.

3)  In divisions U10 Competitive and up, all fees are paid by the Home Team. Both Teams pay 1/2 of the Referee fees for U9/U10
Academy games ($30 Center Referee, Assistant Referees are not required for U9/U10 games).  Fee payment is required prior to the start of
     the match.

4)  ALL red and yellow cards and any other ejections
(spectator or coach) must be reported on the online Referee report so the League can
     take action.

5)  Please report any unacceptable behavior by spectators/coaches/players. The League issued a code of conduct which each parent has
     signed.

6)  A current copy of the GiRLS Game Chart
(the link is located below), includes the referee pay scale and has all relevant game information
needed. Please download the chart, along with any other material you feel you may need.
