News & Updates

Fall 2009 Season:
Registration for the Fall 2009 Season will be open from June 26 to July 15, 2009.  Include four(4) "block-out" dates, division preference, and updated team contact information when registering for GiRLS League play.  The application link can be found in the menu tab above under 'SCHEDULES & RESULTS' - 'GiRLS LEAGUE REGISTRATION-Fall 2009.' 

This Fall, all boys (CIYSL) and girls (GiRLS) U9-U10 teams will register under one league. The application can be found in the menu tab above under 'SCHEDULES & RESULTS' - 'GiRLS/CIYSL U9-U10 LEAGUE REGISTRATION-Fall 2009.'

The registration fee for the Fall '09 season is $100.00.  Please make checks out to the Greater Indiana Regional League of Soccer and mail to:

Payment must be received before application for League play is accepted.



Field Closure Information:
This is simply an attempt to provide up-to-date Field closure information for GiRLS Member Clubs; the information is only
as accurate as provided by the Clubs. Please check each Clubs website/weather hot-line.

The League has created a survey requesting feedback from Team Managers, Coaches and Club 
   Administrators. We would like to have surveys submitted by the end of the season. Please click this

Clarification from the Indiana State Referee Committee regarding Player's Equipment, specificially 
   Under Armour garments. Please review, print and take to your games in case of a misunderstanding
   with the Officials. Contact your GiRLS Commissioner with any questions or concerns.
 



• After some confusion, we finally have an explanation of the U9/U10 Goal Keeper possession rules

2009-10 Changes:

Please be certain to check the "IMPORTANT INFORMATION" tab on the upper left menu for updates from 
   GiRLS President Larri McClintock.
 
GAME CARD INSTRUCTIONS:
Please refer to the "League Roster, Club Pass and Game Card" link above for
   instructions on how to print the game card. Players appearing on the game card roster but NOT playing in that
   specific game need to be marked out on the game card. ALL Club Pass Players must be approved by your
   Commissioner before they are added to your online League Roster.
 PLAYER'S IYS ID # AND BIRTH
   DATE MUST BE INCLUDED ON THE LEAGUE ROSTER, "(CP)" OR "(PASS)" MUST BE ADDED AFTER
   THE PLAYER'S LAST NAME.
NO hand written player's info will be accepted on game day.

 • NEW GAME CHART UPDATES - Please check the game chart for the most recent updates 
    (3/16/09) regarding REFEREE FEES and U9/10 Goal Keeper Possession Rules *High School Division
    Referee Fees have been changed for the Spring season (3/16/09) - please check the updated 
                      game chart. **U9-U10 PUNT RULES are clarified. 

  
 • THE GiRLS GUIDEBOOK
includes a complete League overview and all updates/changes in affect
    for the Spring '09 season. GiRLS reserves the right to amend or add to the rules in the Guidebook
    at any time.  All updates will be posted on the website for review.


GAME REPORTING: new game reporting procedures information can be found in the Guidebook Section 10.8.3
   on the GiRLS FAQ's page and the League Roster page.

ARTIFICIAL NOISE MAKERS: Artificial noise makers, including but not limited to:  air horns, cow bells and whistles,
  are NOT PERMITTED during League games.  The complete rule has been added to GiRLS Guidebook Section 10.10
